Anyone who ever sets a foot in San Diego should visit Alforon at least once. I am obsessed with this place’s food and even more their hospitality. The owners are husband-wife duo and what an amazing people they are. We visited their place for the husband’s birthday and couldn’t have preferred to go anywhere else. The lovely lady sat with to understand our food preferences and recommended a few dishes. Her sense of humour and hospitality have made this place one of my favourites. I had the softest chicken of my life there. They offer the best flatbread pizza. Their love dessert is to die for. If you are a food lover, then this place should be the first on your list. If you go to this place, please listen to their owners/chefs and you will have the best food of your life. The parking space is limited in front of the restaurant but might find a street parking near by.

One of the best, most authentic restaurants experiences I’ve ever had in my almost 18 years here in San Diego. You know how there are times when you want to eat your meal in peace and don’t want the owners/chefs stopping by to give you their two cents or tell you story after story? Well here, I could sit for hours listening to stories of history or get advice on why I ordered too much spinach and cheese dishes (even though we all know that’s not physically possible). You feel like you’re stepping into someone’s Lebanese household, that’s the vibe you feel immersed in. The food was delicious. The dessert was out of this world. I’d come back here again and again…damn, I’d live here!!

I can't believe it's taken me more than 13 years since this place opened to find it! Luckily a friend recommended it! This is easily one of the 2 or 3 best restaurants I've discovered in San Diego in almost 30 years living here. Chef-owner George Salameh obviously takes exquisite and loving care with these Lebanese classics and some creative variations of his own. One of the world's greatest cuisines is really done justice here. I'll be back many times to work through the ample menu (a paradise for vegetarians and meat lovers alike). On my first visit I was stunned by the delectable simplicity of a plain flatbread (perfectly soft yet crispy) with grilled mushrooms and onions sprinkled with sharp feta cheese. And save room for the signature dessert: "Aaysh Essaraya"! Layers of pudding and bread soaked in rose, lavender, and orange blossom syrup with lots of ground pistachio! Just incredible!!! (The interior space is warm and comfortable with gorgeous wood beam ceiling, but the only thing less than perfect is the cramped strip mall location with confusing and limited parking. I may just try street parking on El Cajon Blvd next time. But it's worth Ubering if need be!)

I’m glad that i passed by this place during my visit to San Diego. They have the best customer service “wait time is no problem with such nice Lebanese humor”. The food is amazing and its authentic, the desert is delicious and the Tea is great!! This place will be my first stop every-time i visit San Diego.

I visited this place multiple times. The experience was incredible. Service is 5/5. First time we visited the food was also 5/5. But the second time I wasn’t very happy with food. Also must try their love dessert
